Hello Selected Region East Principals,
This is a follow-up email regarding the upcoming STairway Emergency Evacuation for Disabilities PD (STEED PD) that the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will be facilitating. As a reminder, the District has purchased Evacuation Charis for each multiple-story school to facilitate safe and effective emergency evacuation for all students, regardless of physical disability.
Training is required, to ensure that schools operate the Evac Chair safely and appropriately. For your school to receive your Evac Chair, a minimum of 4 staff members (certificated/classified) are required to attend the training. The training date for each school has been pre-selected. If you are receiving this email, we are requesting that you register your team to attend using the link below, on or before Thursday, February 23, 2023:
